About the Role: 

WilsonHCG is seeking to add a Corporate Counsel to oversee the global contracts function internally. This position will report directly to the company’s General Counsel and will be an integral part of the legal function, while managing the Contracts Administrator.


This role is responsible for the following: 

  • Working with the Contracts Administrator to manage all incoming and outgoing contractual agreements 
  • Structure, draft, review and negotiate service contracts in multiple jurisdictions, under swift time constraints while meeting deadlines 
  • Research, anticipate, and guard company against legal risks related to contract policy 
  • Maintain contract records including receipt and control of all contractual correspondence 
  • Utilize the contract management system (ContractWorks) to track and report on key terms of contracts to the business stakeholders 
  • Review internal contract templates and update them based on changing regulations 
  • Advise managers, salespeople and members of the leadership team on contract matters, answer inquiries on contracts and ensure compliance with rules and regulations 
  • Ensure consistency of contract terms with company policies and goals. 
  • Attend company meetings and keep management up to date on all contracts 
  • Support upper-management and provide legal advice on existing company agreements 
  • Work with other members of the legal team and members of the company’s business units to develop and implement contract strategies. 
  • Lead the review of best practices to enhance contracts processes. 
  • While the focus will be on service contracts for clients, review and negotiation of vendor/supplier agreements as well as leases will also be expected 

Skills & Specifications:  

  • Consistently exercise good judgment related to the allocation of risk and suggested alternatives  
  • Self-starter, highly organized, and able to deliver clear, business-minded legal advice in a fast-paced atmosphere  
  • Collaborator working with an internal team, while delivering with minimal supervision and administrative support  
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment, analytical ability, critical thinking, and risk management skills  
  • Eager to learn new areas of the law and strongly committed to learn the company’s businesses  
  • Excellent research, drafting, negotiation, and communication (both oral and written) skills  
  • Ethical conduct, integrity, worth ethic, and sense of honor  
  • Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills  
  • Robust knowledge of contractual law, principles, and standard methodologies; and keen attention to detail is a must.  

Education & Qualifications:  

  • 5+ years of experience as an in-house attorney, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for services
  • Must have a J. D. and be fully licensed, in good standing, to practice law in the US  
  • Experience with international teams or working on global contracts is a plus 
  • Recruiting, staffing or RPO industry experience is a plus

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, WilsonHCG offers a minimum range salary between $50,000 - $70,000 + bonus potential based on performance. Compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and industry knowledge
