YOUR DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Check Teams and email for urgent messages about platform health and deploy status. 
  • Check Jira to monitor progress on bug fixes and new development. 
  • Communicate with the dev team to understand development progress and receive reports on potential roadblocks. 
  • Communicate with the client success team to gauge client expectations about the platform and deliver updates. 
  • Enrich documentation about upcoming features and fixes. 
  • Investigate new tools and technology and stay abreast of market trending solutions. 
  • Be flexible to potentially: meet with external clients, discuss product roadmap with leadership, and make recommendations about product and process enhancements. 
  • Log in to Claro to perform ad hoc user acceptance and validation testing of platform features. 

ABOUT YOU

  • Be able to work flexibly with multiple teams and coordinate between teams.  
  • Be able to use Jira, Teams/Slack, Microsoft office products, and potentially find or recommend new tools fit for Claro’s purpose (postman familiarity is a bonus).   
  • Be able to create reasonable deadlines and manage expectations to complete deliverables by these deadlines. 
  • Be able to work with product and development teams to create a long-term client facing product roadmap.  
  • Flexibility with working hours to account for communication across time zones, develop communication cadences when parties across time zones can communicate.   
  • Solid communication skills and habits to translate updates from the Development team into important information bullets for the product/marketing/sales teams.  
  • Basic understanding of elastic, java, python, mongodb.  
  • Basic understanding of boolean search logic and how to structure queries.   
  • Basic understanding of agile development strategy to adjust timelines and reprioritize efforts based on client and prospect requests.    

REQUIREMENTS

  • Weekly reports to management about the status of all items in the development funnel: tagged with the issue type (error fix, bug fix, new feature), level of importance, responsible party, estimated time to deploy to production environment, and potential roadblocks preventing that timeline from coming to pass.
  • Data update deploys occurring every 2 weeks (or some other consistent timeline agreed upon internally). 
  • Building a streak of consecutive successful deploys without broken pre-existing features or rollbacks needed. 
  • Release notes simplified for public consumption, to be shared simultaneously with deploys with end users in mind. 
  • Monitor platform uptime and maintain an external public facing site showing Claro’s status of being up-or-down and timeline to restoring service capacity back to normal across X regions. 
  • Make proactive recommendations about new tech to improve our product or internal processes.
