The Implementation Project Manager will be responsible for leading RPO Implementations and Projects for small to large scale clients, as well as internal projects. The role reports into the Global Implementation Director and will be expected to demonstrate excellent project management, communication, and client management skills to maintain positive client and internal WHCG relations, and ultimately drive successful projects, outcomes, and change.
This candidate must be a self-starter, who is able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
The Implementation Project Manager works with clients daily, although this is predominantly remote, they may need to travel on-site to client meetings occasionally
- Responsible for full life-cycle Implementation of RPO solutions, and other projects.
- Lead clients through implementation, manage expectations, identify & co-ordinate introductions to SMEs to achieve project deliverables.
- Ensure client satisfaction through thorough communication, responsiveness, follow-up etc.
- Confirm scope, and monitor/manage/estimate impacts of scope change (e.g.: timeline and cost).
- Ensure stakeholder and governance buy-in, agreement and sign-off of projects and all deliverables.
- Create detailed Project Plans with clear prioritized deliverables, milestones, associated costs etc. using best practice methodology, and measure & communicate progress against those plans.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, actions within agreed timescales.
- Manage Communications and Change Management, building a Change Management Plan, creating Communications tailored to the project, the client and the change management needs.
- Create and maintain accurate and up to date project documentation – from project plans, to action logs, process maps, training plans etc.
- Manage (indirectly) Project Resources, onboarding them onto the project team, aligning them to counterparts, briefing and collaborating closely to agree deliverables, monitor progress, and drive communication e.g.: with Project Consultant/Project Coordinator and Workstream Owners/SMEs.
- Communicate project progress and any risks, issues, dependencies etc. to stakeholders and governance representatives.
- Design and deliver the required Training Plan to relevant teams, stakeholders.
- Review each project, conduct Lessons Learned, formally Close projects and seek feedback from all stakeholders to ensure evolution of our practices, and future success.
- Identify further opportunities for growth e.g.: consulting opportunities, expansion, additional business areas or scope etc.
The Implementation Project Manager skills and abilities include but are not limited to:
- Desire to strongly lead clients through positive change & outcomes
- Ability to command a group of individuals in a meeting/team quickly and be connected and assertive in a public environment
- Strong communication skills with clients, and internally - including the ability to work with all levels of the organization (sales, marketing, delivery)
- Strong desire to work in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to work within ambiguity and demonstrate flexibility as project requirements, scope, size, challenges vary
- Troubleshooting e.g.: detecting potential issues and implementing solutions when there are threats to the timeline, budget, or business operations
