YOUR DAY IN THE LIFE 

As an Implementation Project Manager for MSP (Managed Service Program), you will lead the implementation and management of contingent labor solutions, ensuring the successful deployment and ongoing support for client accounts. This role is focused on managing the end-to-end delivery of MSP solutions, working closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver exceptional results.  

The Implementation Project Manager will report to the Global Implementation Director and will be expected to:  

  • Lead MSP and other related implementations for clients, including managing internal and client-facing projects.  

  • Oversee the Supplier Engagement, VMS Technology, Data Analysis, and Communications/Change Management workstreams within the MSP projects.  

  • Be accountable for end-to-end project planning, scope management, risk mitigation, and successful execution across all project phases.  

  • Communicate effectively with both internal teams and clients to manage expectations, maintain stakeholder alignment, and resolve issues quickly.  

 

 

YOU WILL: 

  • Lead and manage the full life-cycle implementation of MSP solutions for clients, ensuring all timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. 
  • Collaborate with vendors, technology teams, and client stakeholders to understand and implement MSP strategies. 
  • Manage communications with suppliers, create templates, and plan for effective supplier engagement throughout the implementation process. 
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans using industry best practices, including timelines, costs, and milestones. 
  • Oversee and support the implementation of VMS technology, ensuring smooth integration and adoption within client environments. 
  • Support the Data Analysis workstream by working closely with the data specialist to load client data, including cost centers, supplier details, and temp worker information, into the VMS. 
  • Facilitate the creation of a comprehensive Change Management Plan and deliver communications to client stakeholders and suppliers as part of the transition to a new MSP. 
  • Identify potential risks and resolve any challenges that may affect the project’s scope, timeline, or cost. 
  • Measure project progress against defined goals, and adjust as necessary to ensure successful outcomes. 
  • Conduct post-project reviews to gather lessons learned, ensure continuous improvement, and foster long-term client relationships. 
  • Explore growth opportunities with clients, such as additional scope or business expansion. 

 

The Implementation Project Manager skills and abilities include but are not limited to:  

  • Proven experience leading and managing MSP implementations, including understanding supplier engagement and VMS integration. 
  • Expertise in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheets, Visio). 
  • Ability to command a group of individuals, lead meetings, and assertively communicate in high-pressure environments. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, adapting to varying challenges and complexities. 
  • Experience in troubleshooting project delays, resource allocation, or budget issues and proposing solutions effectively. 
  • Collaborative team player with a strong commercial mindset and ability to work cross-functionally. 
  • Proactive and self-motivated to take ownership of projects, including the delivery of vendor and technology workstreams. 
  • Understanding of MSP principles and regulatory compliance in different regions, including pay rate regulations in North America. 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. 
  • Significant experience in delivering large-scale MSP implementations. 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the Supplier Engagement, VMS Technology, and Data Analysis workstreams. 
  • Ability to navigate complex project environments and adjust to changing client and business needs. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, and project planning tools such as MS Project or Smartsheets. 
  • Recruitment experience, ideally in MSP or RPO environments. 
  • Strong project management background, with the ability to lead and motivate teams. 
  • Formal project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) preferred but not required. 
  • A second language is advantageous but not essential. 

Desirable skills: 

  • Experience in implementing MSP solutions and familiarity with best practices for contingent labor management. 
  • Knowledge of vendor management systems (VMS), including requisition management, timesheet approval, invoicing, and reporting. 
  • Previous experience with change management processes within MSP environment
